Im sorry i love MO but it’s no competition for me when it comes to this band. They just have that heaviness factor I prefer plus Dustin is an underrated lyricist.

Don’t turn this thread into the inverse of that thread they’re both phenomenal bands with solid discographies up and down

I'm not a huge MO guy but simple math is the first album my wife introduced me to so I kind of love it by default.

Pre simple math MO is not my bag though

Can hardly listen to this record without hearing that voice or saying it out loud. Maybe I'll force my way on stage and scream it into the mic at just the right time (I won't).

I've been a Thrice fan for 20 years (fuck) and I've never listened to Palms. Weird

been in a musical rut lately who knew all I needed to do was listen to one of my oldest favorite bands lol

Palms is easily one of their worst albums but Beyond the pines is one of their best post hiatus songs, and Blood on blood + Just breathe are also great songs

I absolutely adore Palms. TBEITBN never really hit for me, and I was concerned that I no longer connected with my favorite band since that was two records in a row that were just ok to me.

But Palms, the EP, and Horizons have more than dispelled me of my concerns.
