This is literally what prompted this today, I had Rally’s for the first time and was listening to Thrice and was like wow why haven’t I ever been here.
Dustin being an Evangelion fan is the least surprising thing ever but also so fucking cool to learn about, dying for an interviewer to ask him about it now.
With his new solo album dropping tomorrow, Dustin did a Q&A on Instagram today. FWIW, he mentioned that the next Thrice album will be out next year.
It's now been almost 14 months since they teased some type of studio live recording release on the TAITA podcast. I wonder what happened.
New and often cringey podcast with Dustin, but it's nice to hear him talk about random subjects for a change: Bothering the Band: Episode #197 - Dustin Kensrue on Apple Podcasts
Hmm. The Cope tour ends September 20 and MO did post a link to sign up for tour date notification via Seated earlier this afternoon on their stories..maybe some dates together for that annual (lately) mini-run leading up to The Stuffing? edit: I do feel like Thrice would probably open for MO at this point, at least around the southeast. I would much rather see a Beggars headlining set than a direct support set but it would also be really cool to see them at the stuffing so I’m torn lol
I mean there is a very real chance they’ve been working on it and it will out in the beginning of 2025. They came back from hiatus and pumped out 3 albums in 6 years. As much as I want new music from them, they’re probably making bank on these tours and hopefully it regenerates them to finish out h/west.
I was so bummed when that got cancelled. I was supposed to see them a week before college graduation. Had to wait 5+ years before I finally got to see them both live
