One of tightest bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing

 

Really the only complaint I have is like my recent Coheed show there’s zero stage banter. Though to Thrice’s credit a dude literally flipped off Dustin at the date I was at because he didn’t play Deadbolt so we don’t deserve whimsical banter apparently. Loser dweeb who did that sucked

 

Less talk, more rock.

 

Well worth seeing. I think they've improved technically every time.

 

They're definitely one of the best-sounding live bands I've ever seen. I haven't seen them post-hiatus, but that farewell tour was something else.

 

last time I saw them was in 2012 on their Farewell Tour lol

I've seen Dustin solo since then but even that was in like, 2015 probably

 

I just heard Riley on a podcast and he said, "Now we're at a place where I think we're ready to move forward with West, and start writing and recording that."

 

Writing???

 

Those “they already recorded it” takes aged like raw milk.

 

He said they had 4 or 5 partially finished songs for the original version of West. Two of them were Dead Wake and Open Your Eyes, but he gave no indication if those remaining songs will carry over to this new version of West.

 

I miss Riley’s podcasts - what pod was he on?

Productive Outs, too, with the dude from Kowloon Walled City. I miss their podcasts where they would just talk about their old baseball cards.

 

So stoked. Love the aesthetic of this. Feels like it will be country tinged and maybe lord Huron-esque which I’m all in on

Big Springsteen Nebraska vibes, to my ear. Can't wait to see what direction this record goes.

 

"Dustin Kensrue of Thrice has announced ..." briefly gave me a traumatic flashback to 2012.
