Got the deadbolt tour debut the other night haha

 

saw them in Dallas last month, just copped ticket for Ft. Worth in Oct

 

got tickets for the long island show. gonna rule to see them in a place that small.

 

Anyone need a ticket for STL tomorrow night? Free to a good home, I don’t think I can make it through a SRO show after limping to two seated shows already this week on a badly damaged ankle

 

I’m gonna ask around and see if anyone I know needs one

 

They've announced the 20th anniversary tour for the Artist in the UK next spring, cannot wait.

 

Anyone know what time Holy Fawn's been averaging getting on stage?

Tonight's show only has a time of 7:00 on the info so I'm unsure if that's doors or their set. I do not want to miss.

 

Pretty sure they went on at 8 for my show.

 

Doors were 7, HF at 8, Thrice at 9 is how mine went I believe.

Random question - has the band ever confirmed the meaning behind the 3 bars logo? I’ve been thinking of getting the logo tattooed, and actually like the Horizons iteration the best for a tattoo. I’ve read online anything from no meaning (3 = thrice) to alternate life paths, but was curious if the band ever clarified. Figured the experts here might know.

 

Curious about this as well. I've always assumed it was meant to symbolize their name without a deeper meaning, but I could be wrong.

 

Actually a really good question. It’s probably my favorite band logo too and I can draw it easily. I can’t draw the keywork for example

Definitely not something I’ve come across in any of my studies involving Christianity. But maybe?

 

One can make a guess at it somehow being about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I’m pretty sure it is just a design that looked cool though.

 

Searched for the logo to remind myself exactly what it looked like, and the search text on Wikipedia made go ??? Clicking the link correctly says they’re an American band lol.

All in all, are we glad that Thrice turned 2023 into a trip down memory lane, versus making a new album?

 

Artist Revisited achieved a very difficult task in enhancing a fan favorite record, and the tour was a blast, maybe the best I've seen them other than their farewell run in 2012.

But I have been wondering when Horizons/West might come along. Sonically, East feels right where they should be at this stage of their career, though I'm curious what they might try to make West feel distinct. With any luck we'll find out sometime in the next 6-8 months!

 

Man I'm really itching for new music from these guys! Their newest album was soooo good

It's crazy how much I love their last 3 albums over all of the others. They've really matured.

 

Anyone considering going to the artist revisited tour again this fall after having already seen the first round? I wonder if it’s worth going again hoping for different post artist songs?

 

I might be doing that. But it depends if I move in time to be in town for the show.

 

They did a cover of Drive Like Jehu’s “Here Come the Rome Plows” for a tribute album, but looks like it’s a vinyl only bonus track.
