I haven’t listened to the original since the revisited came out. Not sure when/if I will again. I probably will, but the revisited version is just so good for the most part
Still not sold on Dustin's vocals during the end of Cold Cash, but the everything else in regard to the album fucks
Really makes me remember why I loved the band in the first place. Don’t listen to TAITA as much as the newer albums but have listened to revisited quite a bit since it’s come out. And really excited to see them in Boston. Was planning on going to Furnace Fest for the IoS set but think I’m more excited for this. also Horizons East is still played a lot for me
Also, "Madman" from *Identity Crisis* is sort of a b-side. It was on the original release of the album when it was on Greenfllag records, then when they moved to Hopeless/Sub City for the re-release, the track was not included for some reason.
Random thought for something they’d absolutely never do, lol: It’d be neat if they re-recorded a couple more songs here and there that have evolved live. Like, just throw one song into the recording sessions of a new album. It’s cool that they have some great live recordings, but what if their modern version of “Deadbolt” has a studio version as great as Artist Revisited? The other one I have in mind is a later one, “A Song for Milly Michaelson”; maybe there’s another worthy contender I’m not thinking of.
The way they played Wood & Wire live back in 2016 absolutely blew the original version out of the water
I received my two vinyls last week for the Revisited album and today I received 2 lyric vinyl sleeves. Was there a misprint or something in the original? Can't find anything myself.
I received my copy recently and the lyric sleeve was printed backwards as if you'd point it at a mirror so I received a second copy in the same package with a correct printing of the lyrics
I've seen the Alliance, the Green Retail, the Blue Galaxy, and Urban Outfitters exclusive posted in the Thrice fan group I'm in on Facebook. The Clear isn't due to be shipped until May barring any further vinyl delays since it's basically a second press.
So they're doing a live EP of sorts from their studio ... At least that's what I gleaned from Dustin's wording on the final Artist pod.
And it'll have at least one Artist track. Maybe this is the closest thing we'll get to a rearranged Best of.
Has anyone attended the VIP session on this tour? I'm looking for some insight about how long it is, if they allow you reentry, etc.
Hell yea they do! Was an incredible show. Felt so good to be seeing them again. It’s been since the Vheissu show right before Covid for me. As my usual thing now, I took some videos. Below is Dead Wake. You can also find Cold Cash, Stare At The Sun, Melting Point of Wax, TAITA, Where Idols Once Stood, Summer Set Fire, and The Long Defeat on my channel.
Saw them in Dallas on Monday. Was right up front. Had a blast. Will love this band til the day I die.
