Yeah mine got canceled as well. Maybe they were trying to get a head start on printing labels and didn't know it would trigger an email to go out?
What are some other bands that sound like the lead guitar at 1:50? The chokehold this riff has on me is insane. Craving more.
Yeah it's one of the best Thrice songs imo. I know they didn't like it for a while, but they also played it live in I think 2020.
unless you were at the Chicago date. I get it Dustin probably had Covid. But them not playing the bsides still hurts.
Don’t remind me. Chicago has been screwed in recent Thrice memory. Dustin being completely wrecked during Vheissu tour. And we were the ONLY tour stop that didn’t get Red Telephone during that one tour.
I’m not sure, but I can break down the tracks by era for you if you’d like. I won’t do acoustics though because I’m sure I’m going to forget some. The Illusion of Safety - That Hideous Strength The Artist in the Ambulance - Eclipse, Motion Isn’t Meaning Vheissu - Flags of Dawn, The Weight of Glory, Lullaby Beggars - Answered, Red Telephone To Be Everywhere is to Be Nowhere - Sea Change Palms - Deeper Wells, A Better Bridge, In This Storm, Stumbling West Horizons / East - Dead Wake, Open Your Eyes and Dream
The TBEITBN, palms and horizons b sides are all on Spotify. Red telephone is too. that hideous strength, lullaby and motion isn’t meaning (although it’s listed as motion without meaning) are also on Spotify but can only be searched by song title as they appear on Compilations
You can search by band name. But before clicking on the discography button, scroll down. There is a row of albums the band appears on. Easy way to find any songs you can’t find directly on the bands page.
As mentioned there's a handful of acoustic tracks out there, but two alternate recordings that are absolutely worth checking out are the Words in the Water remix by Polaris At Noon, and Hurricane, performed at Walrus Audio (part of their Songs at the Shop series). Both are beautiful and reveal such a rich layer of those songs.
