I don’t get why they would re record another album. They have always been vocal on not liking how Artist came out production wise. I don’t think they have ever said anything similar about any of their other work.

Yup it's always been a favorite on the album, but this version has literally brought a tear to my eye on more than one occasion.

 

Yeah I know Dustin has mentioned that he doesn't like his vocals on Vheissu, but the entire band has spoken about things they don't like in regard to TAITA so I also have a difficult time seeing them re-record anything else.

 

I had no problem getting tickets to Carrboro on Friday but I'm at my desk all day so I could grab them right before I went to lunch. Honestly surprised to see that it sold out already. They usually have good crowds at the cradle but I don't know that I've seen them sell out a show and definitely not day 1. Good for them

 

I wouldn’t want a re-record of any other album, but I would for sure take new recordings on songs they added additional flourishes to live, like Milly Michaelson, and Deadbolt.

 

They should definitely record the expanded version of Milly. Throw it on a 7" b-side or something.

 

Dustin played the acoustic version of Milly on his solo tour and it was incredible

 

Besides Thrice, what other bands from this scene still have all of their original members after 20-25 years?

 

I know JEW has had the same lineup for almost 30 years although one isn't original

Closest I can come off the top of my head lol

The Starting Line, right? I wouldn’t count adding a member against them, right?

 

In no way is Radiohead from this scene

Thursday has had the same core lineup since 2000.

 

FOB hasn't changed in 20. I had no idea there were so many former members before checking their wiki just before posting this though lol

Yes. I have been recording some music recently and that is how I've been describing what I want to go for with the bass sound haha. Just "Ed"

 

Jade and Hunter from AFI aren't original members, but they've had the same lineup for 25 years now.

 

Not this scene, but Weird Al has had the same band since 1982
