Scavengers is so very Thrice is all the right ways. I’m glad they didn’t just release a “Thrice radio single” first. This track feels dense and layered which is so promising for the record as a whole. Again, I’m hoping 10 songs doesn’t feel short (Palms felt short until I have Deeper Wells to accompany it), but maybe not. Love this band.

 

The chorus is huge, I love it.

 

So was there any word that this could be another alchemy index-ish project? Adding the East to the primary title would suggest as much.

Rumors are that it'll be Live at the House of Blues, but nothing confirmed.

 

If that isn't back on wax by the end of the year I'll just say fuck it and buy off Discogs or something. Truly back on my bullshit with this band.

 

Spent way too much money on the Alchemy vinyl a few years ago. No regrets. But I hope they do re-press it so that more people can have it without getting gouged online.

 

Between Major/Minor, Anthology, Live at the House of Blues, a lot needs to be repressed.

Speaking of Alchemy Index boxset, I just got this in the mail today!

 

So, this just reminded me of something that happened a few months back.

I have the alchemy index symbol tattooed on the back of my right calf. One day, I was wearing shorts so that tattoo was visible. As I was waiting for the elevators at my apartment building a guy walked up and said: “Is that a Thrice tattoo?” And I said, “yeah they are my favorite band.” And he says, “me too” and pulls up his shirt sleeve to reveal the exact same tattoo lol.

Quite the small world.

 

Add me in the column for a vinyl pressing of Live at The House of Blues and a repress of Anthology. Both would be instant preorders for me.

 

I’ll always regret not buying that at the show on tour. I wasn’t in to vinyl at the time but shortly thereafter I got into it.
