The problem is Thrice outgrew the midcaps (Irving Plaza) some time ago. So it was either Nokia Live/Best Buy Theater/Playstation Theater or Terminal 5.

When I smoked the rooftop at Terminal 5 was nice. But in terms of seeing a show and having to walk up to 11th ave its generally not worth it.

I'm gonna have to drive to Cincy since it's on a weekend instead of down to ATL. Kinda bummed.

I like the new Masquerade well enough. Went to the Vheissu tour there.

Tabernacle would be better, though.

 

I would think we would be getting an album before the tour, but given how they have just been in the studio and how soon this thing is, I can’t imagine the timing working out on all of those things.

 

Would prefer all of: the roxy, Terminal west, center stage, tabernacle, and probably the eastern although I won’t know until 2 days before this when I see TBS and Thursday there for the first time.

I hate the location, the building itself and the staff at the masquerade so much..and yet..I keep going back lol.

 

Who will be there in Houston?

The soundrink presale for Anaheim is already out so I’ll try my luck tomorrow in the general. LA’s presale is only letting add a poster and not the ticket itself to my order so I might have to just wait on that too

 

So I’ve gone down a bit of a live video rabbit hole tonight and it’s taken me to my videos from the farewell tour (I flew from Sydney and followed the tour from Seattle down to SoCal).

I fucking love this video I took after the Portland show. We went to a park nearby Roseland for Dustin to do his acoustic set before the cops shut it down. Next thing we were allowed to do it in a car park as long as we kept the noise down. Which actually makes the video awesome. Rather than singing along, people were basically ‘talking along’.

I was also wanting to go to either the Nashville or Atlanta show. Can't do out of town shows during the week though.

Yes!! On the day I will most likely propose to my partner as well. She’s not the biggest thrice fan but likes pines and Dustin’s solo stuff. Any chance this is a romantic banger? Lol

 

In 2011 on the tour with Moving Mountains, O'Brother and La Dispute, I saw them in Dallas and Dustin played some solo acoustic songs at a dog park across the street after the show. It's one of my favorite memories ever.
