I first heard Thrice in the fall of 2003 while playing Madden 2004 with All That's Left after being primarily a Creed/Trapt/etc type fan in my early teenage years. I was hooked instantly after hearing the track and proceeded to ask for the album that Christmas and jammed it nonstop for the next few months. I'd still say Under a Killing Moon and Melting Point of Wax are my favorite tracks for it. Speaking of Madden 2004, that soundtrack for that entire game was revelatory for me as a music fan with Avenged Sevenfold, Unloco, and Alien Ant Farm. Between that and being a teen with no friends who watched Headbanger's Ball every Saturday during that time, it's all been downhill since.
Vhiessu anniversary show was the last show I saw before COVID lockdown began! Now this record holds a whole different special memory since god knows when we'll get "real" live music again!
I really love how they came back to this story but from the fathers perspective in Daedalus. Such a cool thing to do
Only listened to it once so far but can see exactly what you meant. It’s that era and I can’t believe they passed me by to be honest.
still hopin for a surprise anouncement of a live album of either a vheissu show, or the beggars x show.
Artist and Stare at the Sun are like the only songs I've ever heard from that album live - I've seen them plenty of times too, they don't draw from that album for setlists very often at all. maybe they'll pull Silhouette out every so often.
concertarchives.org is great for revisiting old setlists. It looks like Thrice played Silhouette each time I've seen them except for the most recent 15 year tour.
I'm pretty sure I've seen them play every song on Artist live at least once, the only one I'm not positive of is "Hoods On Peregrine". Just the last 2 times I saw them (2016 and 2018) they played Cold Cash, Silhouette, Stare At the Sun, Paper Tigers, and Artist.
