i didn't even realize that i didn't add any songs from the deeper wells ep. i like what i've heard so far. need more time with the songs. more importantly, want the songs in digital quality, not low volume vinyl rips. (says the guy that bought the vinyl; came without download code, doesn't own record player.)
I will list my top 5 b sides after streaming Deeper Wells a bit but any list without having Flags of Dawn and Answered are wrong. Have a good day.
Yeah those were my top two haha, I really wish they'd give Answered the same treatment they gave Red Telephone. I'm wondering, what album got you guys into Thrice, and which solidified them as great to you? I was thinking yesterday about how I casually got into them at Artist, then Vheissu hit and became my favourite album, but it wasn't 'til Alchemy vol. 1 until I was like "yeah, this band makes the perfect music for me."
Title track rips. Love it. In This Storm and A Better Bridge are solid too. Stumbling West is a pretty song. Really all 4 are great. Very strong B-sides as expected.
wow I didn't realise just how bad the quality on the rip I had was. I'm noticing so many extra little things on the official digital release versions.
I'm one of those idiots hoping for one day getting tracks again in the style of Vheissu or earlier someday; these last few albums I just haven't vibed with at all. I'm fairly certain they won't ever return to making music like that again, but still, one can hope.
This ep is solid, I thought each song was better than the one before it. Stumbling West is definitely the best out of the bunch. Very thankful we got more new music from them.
The EP is still fantastic, 4/4! It doesn't even seem like these would fit into Palms at all, it really does feel like it's own thing which I love. A banging opener, two great tracks in the middle and a slow build closer.
Bc these threads have been so awful not sure I saw any takes from you on the ep, was curious what you thought of it.
On my first listen to the DW EP now. I like the first two tracks. So that's already a win for me. Edit: Finished. That was awesome! Hell yeah. Really dug all four tracks.
EP was great. Really struck me more than most of Palms did on a first listen. We'll see how much I end up coming back to it. I had no idea all of the RSD releases were coming out today, so that was a nice surprise to wake up to.
