While I agree with the sentiment, and I’m not one who does a lot of the shitting, it is just false to say it’s because he’s excited.

 

its just a shame, I would hate for someone to leave the site bc they are made to feel unwanted. especially bc he really isn't doing anything wrong. Not breaking any forum rules, not being disrespectful, not treating anyone unfairly, hes literally just sharing his opinions on his favorite band. Does he have some quirks? sure, but thats what makes people unique, we should celebrate someone being different not put them down for it.

I've been in his position too so I sort of relate.. I definitely post eccentrically at times and it definitely annoys people. But I'm not going to change who I am just because a few people get annoyed at some enthusiasm. God forbid we show a little personality in these forums sometimes.

In all seriousness, Mike can get annoying sometimes, but he definitely doesn't deserve to be told to stop posting. There are ways to say that something is annoying without being hostile. Like teebs said, he's not being disrespectful to anyone and he's not saying unacceptable things.

don't forget we have the TBEITBN album thread as well, so we could really thin it out. one could be used for talking about how thrice is too radio rock. one can be fore Major/minor discussion. and the other one could be used to channel Mike and I's enthusiasm.. pick your poison.
