Keep You is one of my favorite albums ever, but I cannont understand why Wait For Love doesn't keep me coming back given the style isn’t too far removed.
Really trying not to overplay The Grey, but it's just so damn good. Probably going to stop after today until we get the full album.
Might be a hot take but I definitely like Wait For Love more than Keep You. I go back to it way more than I do Keep you not sure why tho.
I like "The Grey Jedi" as an accessible single; it's just maddening that the best part of the song (intro/verse) is not returned to in the bridge with something extra. On Vheissu, they would've jammed that part out for 10 minutes without giving a damn about radio-friendly structure. The second chorus would lead into that rad drum part from Riley, followed by Teppei's riff and a full band shred until Dustin goes Anthony Green. The potential of this song is just driving me nuts as much as I like it. But, I hope this song pays the bills so they can rebel elsewhere on this record and beyond.
Ah yes, I love track eleventy seven on Vheissu where they jam 2 notes for 20 minutes. Classic Vheissu.
Yea mike, I like to defend you on here.. but I don’t see how this is any more radio friendly than image of the invincible... and I think you must have a bootlegged copy of the album bc I don’t know many 10 minute Jams on there haha
I’m pretty sure it was played a little bit on the album tour for M/m. But it was one they switched in and out.
Seems that way. I've always thought their lead singles seemed very strategically picked to represent the new album, whether it be the more political lyrical themes of the past album represented by Blood on the Sand, or more diversity of sounds and instruments on Vheissu with IOTI.
