@@@@@@@@@@ Dustin disagrees with a lot of the lyrics from M/m and the band has only actively been playing one song from the album on tour.
A new song from the next album(?) is released to the public for the first time on the radio and the band says nothing as if the internet doesn't exist in-mass. What is this, 1996? Kind of odd. (But song sounds fine/good. Definitely not as grandiose sounding as songs from TNEITBN. Can't wait to here the proper thing)
song is great, get your ears checked.. im sure when you hear it in full quality youll enjoy it.. also i know the song is super compressed, but damn that bass tone has me really excited for this record.
i mean, months are put into actually marketing these things with PR and press on certain days.. can't just change all of that on the dime bc a radio decided to jam it early.
I think The Long Defeat is my second favorite after Black Honey on the last record. Edit: Hurricane is certainly not very far behind tho.
Well, setlist.fm would be a great source for the second half of my statement. As for the first half, there are probably some interviews out there that get into it, but some of it comes from Dustin being really frank with people on Twitter.
holy shit!!!! first thoughts on the new song: excited for this lyrical direction ED!!!! i love it can't wait to hear in full quality
Since there is a decent audience/amount of action in this thread rn has anyone heard the new Gatherers record yet? Could definitely see that band on a bill with Thrice. Album - Gatherers - We Are Alive Beyond Repair (June 1, 2018)
Heck yes I am very excited about this. Dig the song on first listen, ready to hear a good quality recording.
