I was wondering what happened to this they just kind of recorded it and then nothing, by the end of the year to me seems like October or November, December isn't a good release month and September wouldn't have him saying "hopefully"
They should do what Failure did. Release 3-4 tracks at a time. The financial model is brilliant. You can still wait for the record, of course.
I understand why they'd want to DIY this record. It saves money for the THRICE family that grows by the minute. However, this is the value of a workmanlike producer who's used to tracking records in an efficient period of time. I presume Teppei will also be mixing the record (or at least a first pass at each track). But then, you have the issue of their June, August and Fall shows which interfere with post-production. So, I'm starting to see why the timeline keeps moving. But, hey, it'll be worth the wait as long as we're all still here.
So, my June timeline that someone in the THRICE camp first provided me wasn't out of reach after all. This harkens back to that one dude's argument about having an option to listen now at a slightly higher price versus having to wait for artwork, physical media, marketing, etc. Should everyone have to wait on some plant in New Jersey to finish printing vinyl? Again, I really like what Failure is doing. Release 3-4 at a time digitally until they finish post-production and printing.
