It is, but when it's devolving into talking about how you got hugged by a member? Like, why? What does that add in a conversation about this band? I have zero problems discussing Thrice, but that literally adds zero value

This is for me to repeat how much I want more Fire style on the new album even though we probably won't get too much heavy from them at all Really though, I wonder if the success of "Black Honey" will influence this album at all? They don't seem like a band who chases a hit, but you never know.
Fine I’ve always thought it was interesting that every track on vhiessu uses harmonic minor at some point. I think that’s why it feels so epic and cinematic.
The song for miles is named after miles Davis bc it messes with the melodic minor scale or (jazz minor) that Dustin was really interested in at the time. @Joe4th
Seems like a pretty easy thing to scroll past honestly. Or go ahead and block people. I get it, different things annoy people and such. But still i don’t think stuff in this thread is worth getting upset about. This stuff always happens in band threads in the duldrums between album cycles. Soon enough we will have new music to discuss.
I don't play anything instrument wise, so I dunno how this works but I remember on the Major Minor tour, Dustin would scream the bridge part into this guitar and his voice would come through his guitar amp. Super awesome.
@Joe4th For the record I never belittle anyone with music theory. I make a comment on it and people get mad. I put myself 50k in debt to know music theory I’m gonna talk about it dammit.

But you could and it would be cool. I don’t know why anyone would get mad at that kind of thing. Music theory is interesting. So are advanced production techniques
I dumb down my language for the masses jk. because those words mean nothing to anyone but other producers and the same goes for music theory. I can talk about overall production in terms that everyone can understand. You could do the same for songwriting instead of pointing out a specific chord change as if that means anything to anyone but yourself
I’d be here for it. I can see where the technical jargon could come off as a little snobbish. But as long as you’re approachable and answer my stupid ?’s, it could lead to an awesome discussion of the depths the music goes to.
Exactly what Fenway said, if you talked about it I would look at it as an opportunity to learn about something I don’t know about. I wouldn’t be upset bc it’s something I was uneducated about... Let’s keep in mind most of my posts are compliments to an artist right. It’s not like I ever say oh this is bad bc.. that would be belittling, I use it to compliment not to tear down.

And I could ask what you mean but I'd probably have to understand a thousand previous basic concepts that build to whatever you're talking about and I already wasted money on one degree I don't wanna waste more on another just to understand what the hell teebs is talking about okay
Most of the time signature stuff is pretty easy to figure out actually lol. The only time I mentioned a chord change was when I joked around with you about that god awful Sherwood band haha Well that’s not true I do mention modulations sometimes but I think those terms are pretty general musician terms.
