certainly wouldn''t take out doublespeak..but this is my track listing and I think it works really well All the world answered the weight circles doublespeak in exile red telephone at the last wood and wire talking through glass the great exchange beggars
Just audio. I know Riley has said that he is embarrassed by this performance because they had no time to rehearse it. Still, hearing Dustin and Chino sing together is amazing to me.
Funny that the Deftones/Vheissu conversation is coming up. One of my favorite shows ever was Taste of Chaos 2006 where Thrice co-headlined with the Deftones. It was in support of Vheissu.
So, my wife and I have tickets to see Thrice at HOB Orlando on June 11th. She'll be almost 8 months pregnant at that point, and I've assured her that we can get seat up on the balcony. Now, I know there's a balcony, but I've never been to this venue. We moved from NC to FL last summer, so our go to venue was The Fillmore in Charlotte and Redhat Amp. in Raleigh, both for Brand New and Thrice shows. Any tips for this venue, things I need to know and plan ahead for?
May give your fantasy Beggars a spin haha, however I don't think there would be any chance of having red telephone and at the last back to back as two of the faster songs on the album.
Man, I am slightly indifferent to Deftones, but that was terrible in every sense of performing a song well on Chinos part. Shat all over Red Sky! It sounds like a joke at the end.
Yeah, as I understand it, they apparently didn't rehearse the song prior to performing, they just asked Chino if he would sing on it and he agreed. The parts where Dustin and Chino are singing together during the chorus sounds pretty good to me, but I agree the end is a mess.
I always felt like it gave it good pace going into wood and wire.. I will say this, I didn't come up with that track listing. Apple Music just sorted it that way and that's how I listen to it now if I'm going to listen to those two songs.
Thrice B-sides have always been better than most every other bands best work ie. Lullaby, Flags of Dawn, Eclipse but the Beggars ones are the only ones that pain me for not being on the record.
Yeah I really need this LP. O'Brother has had time to settle in now I need something to get excited about again.
The thing that amazes me most when I revisit IOS or even TAITA (which is often, favourite band and all) isn't the musical progression they have since made anymore but simply how much Dustin has improved and filled his voice out.
