I think my favorite Thrice riff is the main one in Firebreather.

 

Also "Weight Of Glory" and "Flags Of Dawn" are so good and I wish there had been a place for both of them on Vhiessu.

The riff at the end of Like Moths to Flame gives me chills every time.

 

Under a Killing Moon, Yellow Belly, Awake and Avenge the Dead and The Abolition of Man probably have my favorite Thrice riffs/guitar parts.

Of Dust and Nations intro and the chorus riff in Hurricane are iconic. But let's be honest. Is there anything more unreal than the end of For Miles?

 

Also, I've always thought Backdraft was the most underrated Thrice song. There's so many uniquely Thrice elements and it has one of their strongest choruses and I rarely see it mentioned. Freaked out when they played it live.

 

Correct. During the slides in Dust and Nations, I've always heard the Mario jump sound lol.

Saw it live the first time i ever saw them back in 09. That riff is forever engrained in my memory

 

Same in 08. Also in 08 when I saw them is when I first heard blood clots and immediately sought that song when I got home. They were opening for rise against and alkaline trio and I had never heard of them, I left that night a huge fan.

 

That was a great tour. I know they changed it up night to night, but on my stop they opened with Bloodclots and went right into Melting Point of Wax. Super unexpected and amazing.

 

Backdraft is such a jam. It and Firebreather are my 2 favorite songs off Fire (though the entire Fire EP is a masterpiece imo)
