Yeeeaaaahhh Phoenix gets some love!

 

Earth will Shake is super average. It’s fine, but I do not I understand the love at all. Phoenix deserves some love.

 

Yeah I think there are better songs on Vheissu.

 

Much better songs.

 

I would vote Phoenix over The Weight and Awake and Avenge tbh.

 

And it somehow won against 2 of them!

 

Out of the 8 tracks, I would vote The Weight as the winner.

There are better songs but The Earth Will Shake has everything Thrice does well pulled into one song. That instrumental bridge after the first chorus is excellent.

 

yeah I fail to see how anyone can consider The Earth Will Shake as mediocre or bland. The bluesy style and chain-gang chants and the organ before the build up and the intensity of the course and that ridiculous ending...

Most of us have probably heard them end their shows with it live but if you haven't, you'd understand

 

On no planet is Of Dust and Nations better than The Earth Will Shake.

Seen it live twice. I don’t need to ever see it live again. I’m not gonna shit on it. But it’s fine. It’s just fine. Nowhere near my favorite on the album.

 

I don't think I'd like to see a Thrice show without them playing The Earth Will Shake.

I still think it shouldn't have beat For Miles though.

 

If there are any songs from Vheissu I’d be happy not seeing live again I’d have to go with Hold Fast Hope, Music Box, and Image of the Invisible. I’d kill to see Like Moths to Flame live.

 

Of Dust and Nations is far better live than on record.

The Earth Will shake is equally amazing in both settings.

For Miles is a billion times better.

Unrelated but tapping at the end of Don’t Tell and We Won’t Ask is an underrated Thrice moment.
