I find Identity Crisis, M/M, First Impressions to be all weaker than TAITA. But, to each their own though. I guess if you think Stare At the Sun has really great lyrics, we'll never see eye-to-eye haha. I'm also sorry that you feel discussing Thrice in a Thrice thread with someone who disagrees with you is below you.
Does anyone think IC or FI is their best? Haha EDIT: does anyone consider those great? SATS does have good lyrics.... Why would I want to discuss an album I find to be average in depth? I’m not passionate about that album.
Saying "it's not worth my time" is super condescending and sort of petty when we're in the midst of a conversation about the album. TAITA is a fine album, and I pretty much agree with everything Ken has said about it. The singles on it were honestly the weakest parts of it.
I didn’t mean to be condescending. Sorry if it came across that way, Ken. I just don’t like to discuss something I’m “meh” on in depth. I understand why people like it, it’s not awful by any means. But How in-depth can I really get with, “this just means nothing to me”?
Current scores: Paper Tigers - 11 The Artist in the Ambulance - 9 Cold Cash and Colder Hearts - 10 Stare at the Sun - 10 Let's go Artist!
TAITA is a fine album but it's near the bottom of their discography for me because I love the experimentation from the albums after it.
Sorry if the conversation got a little intense @Greg. We're all good. I'm just passionate about Thrice, as we all are haha.
There is a reason this song is one of like 3 setlist staples Thrice has had throughout all the years being a band.
