You think majority of Thrice fans would pick Flag of Dawn over all of vheissu......... @Larry David we need one of your gifs asap
"For Miles" is one of the greatest Thrice songs of all-time, and Vheissu is possibly their best record.
My top 5 would be Hurricane Stay With Me The Window Long Defeat Black Honey But the one inferior song would be Wake Up.
That's not what I said at all. I said any song on Vheissu or TAITA is better than the songs you listed. That being said, Flags of Dawn would be top three on either Vheissu or TAITA for me so...
The only Thrice song I wish wasn’t on one of their albums is The Earth Isn’t Humming. It’s a fine song but I don’t like when bands include covers on albums, especially with project like The Alchemy Index.
i like it a lot, but I feel the same way. The song is awesome live though. I think Call It in the Air is the one song I wish they hadn't put on an album.
Current scores before I lose track : Paper Tigers - 14 All That's Left - 8 Blood Clots and Black Holes - 4 Silhouette - 18 The Artist in the Ambulance - 17 Don't Tell and We Won't Ask - 5 The Abolition of Man - 19 Motion Isn't Meaning - 3 Under a Killing Moon - 15 The Melting Point of Wax - 7 Eclipse - 2 Stare at the Sun - 20
I meant it as you meant it, that the majority would pick almost any vheissu song over Flag. I'm glad you like the song so much though. It's def underrated. Change this thread title to Thrice Blastopmy please. I really dig it and introduced me to Frodus. Even as a cover, it still sounds like it belongs in an earth disc though.
It is the song that made me fall in love with them. Once I backtracked to Artist, Under a Killing Moon sealed my Thrice love forever
All That's Left Blood Clots and Black Holes The Artist in the Ambulance The Abolition of Man The Melting Point of Wax Stare at the Sun
I would love for a show to open with For Miles one day, and then going right into something like Messenger or Silhouette.
At The Last and Talking Through Glass are weak. Doublespeak is pretty meh and the title track is only slightly better. Tracks 1-3 are all decent with The Weight being the obvious standout. In Exile, Wood and Wire, and The Great Exchange are all good, with In Exile coming out on top.
Seeing Circles and Double Speak live changes the way I love those songs. Actually, same could be said about every song on Beggars other than At the Last, Talking through Glass and Great Escape, I have yet to see those.
I actually haven't listened to Beggars as an album in years. Maybe I should do that tonight... In fact maybe I should revisit each of these albums before voting lol
Like Beggars. Wood and Wire, Circles, The Weight, The Great Exchange, and Doublespeak are some of their best.
