Any news on a single or vinyl release? If the vinyl is over $5 and doesn’t include an acoustic bonus track of Deadbolt then you bet your ass I will whine about it on these here forums. If this band doesn’t listen to me then clearly they’re hacks. Frankly this is why I’ve converted to Laserdisc records.

@Micool1 are you doing b-sides with their respective albums or as a separate round?

 

B-side might be best separate but I guess it depends on how the songs even out I guess

For the record I’m missing all b-sides so I need to get on those

 

The Beggars b-sides were so good. Shame they're not on Spotify. And their Beatles covers!

 

I have Madman with Identity Crisis, Motion Isn't Meaning and Eclipse with Artist, Flags of Dawn and Weight of Glory with Vheissu, Answered and Red Telephone with Beggars, Sea Change with To Be Everywhere. Most brackets were at 12 songs with the b-sides. Are there any other b-sides that would be worth adding? I avoided covers to stick with original tracks.

Also I separated Alchemy by Fire/Water and Air/Earth. We have 9 albums this way though so we might have to do a wild card round or we put all of Alchemy together or put the two winners of the Alchemy beackets against each other to have just one Alchemy winner for the Champions bracket.

 

Honestly a wild card doesn’t help much. That’d put it at 10 total brackets and the first round of the finals bracket would just have two matchups. If there were just the 9 brackets, the finals bracket would have one first round matchup.

Putting the two Alchemy winners against each other is an interesting idea.

Although, if only one winner is going to come out of the Alchemy brackets, why not just put all 24 songs into one mega bracket?

Clearly I think about brackets too much

 

I wanted to avoid having too many matchups at the same time, but I realized it would be just 8 matchups, which isn't that bad. I think I might put them all together.

 

The more I think about it, the more I like an Alchemy bracket with everything mixed up.
