Paper Tigers Blood Clots and Black Holes The Artist in the Ambulance The Abolition of Man Under a Killing Moon Stare at the Sun
All That's Left Silhouette The Artist in the Ambulance The Abolition of Man The Melting Point of Wax - 4 Stare at the Sun
Paper Tigers Silhouette (though I love the main riff of Blood Clots and Black Holes) Don’t Tell and We Won’t Ask The Abolition of Man Under a Killing Moon Stare at the Sun Are Motion Isn’t Meaning and Eclipse considered part of the album? I might have gone with Eclipse over Stare at the Sun but I don’t view it as part of the proper album.
I was surprised to see them included. It's very weird they're in this and yet That Hideous Strength wasn't included for the Illusion of Safety bracket. That song is just as good, if not better, than both of these (although I like both of those songs better than a bunch of others that are doing well in this bracket, like Stare at the Sun). Same with Red Telephone.
I'm honestly just shocked and happy it made it to the finals. - All That's Left (As much as I like the heavier stuff more, this song is so catchy and jammin) -Silhouette (Dang, this is like choosing between children) -The Artist in the Ambulance -The Abolition of Man ( That ending.......) -Under a Killing Moon -Stare at the Sun (maybe has my favorite bass line of all time)
There were versions of The Artist in the Ambulance that included these two songs, just like Madman for Identity Crisis. I don't think it was the case with Illusion of Safety for That Hideous Strength. And honestly I thought it was just a song that was included with If We Could Only See Us Now.
Will there be a b-side bracket with Hideous Strength, Lullaby, Flags of Dawn, The Weight of Glory, Answered, Red Telephone and Sea of Change? I'm down either way, if it's included I can't see any of them winning against the winner of another album anyway (expect maybe Red Telephone)
I figured that the b-sides would be lumped in with their respective albums. A b-side bracket would be interesting (and probably more fair since b-sides are unlikely to win album rounds as you said)
Ah that makes sense. That Hideous Strength was an unreleased b-side from IOS, only released on IWCOSUN as far as I know.
Paper Tigers Silhouette The Artist And The Ambulance The Abolition of Man The Melting Point of Wax Stare At The Sun I love this album
I love Flags of Dawn, but I can't decide if I agree it's their best b-side. Red Telephone and Answered are both so good.
The B-sides have been included within their respective albums. I don't have That Hideous Strength or Lullaby though, as I don't think they were ever associated with any album. Also having a b-sides bracket would get us to 9 songs in the Champions bracket and would make it weird.
That Hideous Strength was recorded and released in 2002, same year as IOS. It was played on the tour promoting that album along with all the other IOS songs. It was first released on Hopelessly Devoted to You Vol 4 lol, along with Betrayal is a Symptom.
Current scores : Paper Tigers - 12 All That's Left - 7 Blood Clots and Black Holes - 4 Silhouette - 15 The Artist in the Ambulance - 14 Don't Tell and We Won't Ask - 5 The Abolition of Man - 16 Motion Isn't Meaning - 3 Under a Killing Moon - 13 The Melting Point of Wax - 6 Eclipse - 2 Stare at the Sun - 17
but it's not even the best B-Side, let alone better than most of the 5 albums that followed. It's better than Wake Up and As The Crow Flies, I'll give you that Silhouette though.........a Thrice staple
