Listened to it, really really like it a lot. Hurricane is a fuckin' opener, one of my favs on the album.
This is my favorite next to Vheissu I think... Maybe some recency bias happening, but damn do I love it
Me too. The reason I like it more than Beggars (my former #2) is because it has better production value as well as more sonic variety.
Thanks again for preordering To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere. We’ve seen some concerns that a few isolated preorders may not arrive on Friday. Thrice Pretty cool of them to send this out early-ish, making sure people who paid for it got to hear it on release day.
I'm going to need to listen to this some more, but after a few listens, I really like it. I do agree with @Kevin360 that it's exhausting, though. I don't like Stay With Me and I'm a bit unsure about Whistleblower but hey, I've only listened to the album twice! Hurricane, The Window, The Long Defeat and Death From Above are awesome songs. Maybe some variety / softer moments like Salt And Shadow would have been nice but overall, I enjoy the album and I'll be going back to it for more listens!
Exhausting is not the word I would use at all. Maybe it's because I don't spend much time in this genre anymore, but if anything, this was refreshing to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, I found this to be much more dynamic and better paced than M/M was. It was definitely refreshing.
I don't know how anything from Thrice can be exhausting when we've been without them for 5 years. Exhaust me all you want.
I probably find it exhausting because I listen too loud. But how can you not? This record begs for the volume to be all the way up. I wasn't using the word in a negative way. I love Daisy, and I love this, all the way through.
Score! Not gonna lie, legit entered your blahblah code before checking my email for the actual code. Derp.
After my first listen, I like this a lot more than I was expecting to based on my reaction to the singles. Sure, it's not amazing or an AOTY contender for me, but it's a good, solid rock record, which is pretty much what I expect and want from Thrice at this point in their career.
starting to listen to this. dustin's vocals are unreal good in the first track blood on the sand is still a bad song
Wake Up is growing on me. Yes, the lyrics are pretty trite rock radio, but the jam on this thing is heavy and super hooky. I may be the only one here who likes it...and I'm OK with that. Also the fuzz bass in the break is sweet.
I wasn't much of a Thrice fan until I heard the first song from the new album. I love this band now. Hurricane is i n c r e d i b l e
