Thread used to be fun to read, shame. Anyways death from above is awesome, happy my favorite band is playing music again.
At this point, I'm not expecting to get it Friday. If they're shipping from California and I'm way down in Florida, I'm looking at late next week unless they overnight it.
I want to hear this today. What's the quality of, say, a Soundcloud stream? At this point, I might try to wait until I can get a lossless version. I'm weak. I won't make it.
Yea idk, i think it actually depends on who premiers it, different outlets like to use different services
I think I prefer the Pandora Premieres thing tbh. It lets me stream it, but since I don't usually use Pandora, I don't find myself over-listening before I get a higher quality version. It's inconvenient enough to limit my streaming I guess.
I've never enjoyed Pandora streams. IIRC, Kensrue's Carry the Fire streamed there, and it had ads within the album. Huge pet peeve.
My order shipped! Edit: Actually shipping from Virginia, I thought I recognized that are code from their contact info. 434 is the Lynchburg area. I'm still not expecting it this week. Edit 2: The FedEx page actually says it shipped last Friday.
just got the email that my order shipped.....from VA, I live in VA....I will have mine by Friday (fingers crossed for maybe a day early?) I can't stand this much excitement.......all I've listened to is Blood on the Sand. I can't wait to spin this and just take it all in.
Don't get me wrong, I agree it's a terrible way to stream. But in a way it keeps the official release special. I'll keep thinking "this album is really good, I can't wait to listen to it in a convenient way and with higher quality", and I still anticipate the official release, and the arrival of the vinyl. I guess it's a weird thought process.
But there are the idiots who never listen to it again bc they blame the production.. This record seems like it has Raw production too which makes for a rough stream if the quality is poor
