Every time I see this get bumped and I see a link, my heart skips a beat thinking it's streaming time.
Just read this earlier today, super neato that the guitar lead in BH is fed through a National amp made in the 1920s. Thrice's studio process has always been fascinatingly creative.
I've been less and less hyped about this album for the past month. I don't really know why the hype faded, but it has returned in full force this past week. Now that I've (sort of) had my Brand New fix and I'm enjoying The Hotelier, new Thrice feels well timed and appropriate to how I've been feeling lately.
And Teppei isn't using his usual AC30 which is just as intriguing. They did a blend of different amps depending on the part. You know your producer cares if they go such lengths to achieve a unique tone for each part.
Maybe it's just me, but anyone else think the long defeat sounds similar to the music in this video? I couldn't put my finger on it but finally hit me watching the video again. I know Riley is a fan of A Hope For Home and has tweeted/done a song of the day by them before.
Nope, not really hearing it, but we only have a 10 second clip of "The Long Defeat" and the music in that video is hard to hear well as well.
Welp here is the first review. It is in German but google translate worked better than expected. Thrice – To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere
Does anyone know if the Amazon sale of the vinyl is 180g? It doesn't say it is, but I don't think they'd press a 120g black vinyl just for other retailers. I've already got the 180g Limited Smoke in order, but I know 180g black will have better sound, so I kinda want both. It's cheaper to do that through Amazon.
Premiering a #TBEITBN track today on Radio 1 Rock Show. Tune in to Daniel P Carter’s show at 11AM PST / 7PM BST! - http://bbc.in/1W8UJFn#DeathFromAbove
Just going to wait for the album now, considering we'll get a stream soon (have a weird feeling about Tuesday) may as well wait
