Dustin sounded great last night. Only played two Thrice songs (Artist and Hurricane) but I can't complain.
Finally getting around to listening to this again after a few months. Love this album! Hope Thrice's second act follows a similar path to Yellowcard's. Yellowcard's albums after their initial hiatus continued to get better and better (that's not to say the first act wasn't strong).
Really? I thought Artist and Stare at the Sun were obvious choices. I guess just because the most of the crowd knows them well enough to sing along. What songs would you expect? Also, his cover of Jesus Christ got the biggest response of his entire set easily. Although Wrecking Ball came close.
I would've expected it to be more later-era Thrice stuff. Something from vheissu at least His Jesus cover is ace
He closed with Round Here. I don't think he played Hospital Beds, but I missed the first song or two, so it's possible. This setlist is pretty close to what he played last night in Dallas. Dustin Kensrue Setlist at Mercy Lounge, Nashville But he played Gallows later in the set and (unless he played it at the beginning) he didn't play Please Come Home.
"Red Telephone", "Flags of Dawn", "Weight of Glory" and "Answered" are four of my favorite Thrice songs (and they're all b-sides). So, odds are "Sea Change" will also rule.
All great picks! I'd assume Artist will always be a staple because its so great to sing along to. No Motion Isn't Meaning? That and Red Telephone are probably my favorite b-sides.
Time for Dustin to start adding new covers to a set list for a hopeful Even More Thoughts.... Live acoustic album.
