this band writes really good rock songs

 

I never really got around to listening to thrice much but this one floored me. My only problem with whistleblower is hearing that term in a song makes me cringe, same with congressmen. Important words but don't exactly roll off the tongue haha

 

How could anyone not like the window. Wake up is one thing but come on. Ha

 

The Window is one of my faves

 

I love Thrice, but Beggars was the last time they made my top 10 of the year. I still really enjoyed TBEITBN, just a ton of other great albums this year.

 

This is really it I think. The genre had at least 15 years of prolific popularity. It's completely natural that people and critics have sort of moved on.

 

Wake up is the worst song on here but it's listenable just for the end even. Whistleblower is such classic heavy thrice and the window is he closest thing to vhiessu the record has

 

Echo love for Window and the eh for Wake Up. Can't believe Thrice took this long to finally make an skippable song.

 

Wake Up was my least favorite song upon my first few listens, but it has really grown on me. I think I prefer it to Whistleblower.

 

I had this my number two for the year but I'm starting to think that was an extremely biased pick lol.. they are my favorite band and I was so excited for the record, also the production is amazing, when an album sounds this good you can listen to it on repeat for days on end

 

I love this album but I don't listen to it nearly as much as I did over the summer. The Long Defeat, Death From Above, and Whistleblower are still my favs while Wake Up is still the weakest on here. I think it's a pretty good song, but everything else is just better

 

For me it kinda fell off after about a month, because the songs I really loved I was afraid of overplaying and the rest I kept wanting to skip.

 

I have it in my TOP 10 for sure ;D

 

Its in my top 10, along with Metallica, TBS and the new Sum 41. Not sure where it ranks though.

Best of 2016 right? I assumed that's what everyone was talking about.

 

I'm bummed that the b-side still isn't out. I'm also disappointed that we never got a second video; we were told it'd likely happen.

 

Think we got that live stuff instead

 

To be honest, Thrice's videos have never been real cool anyway. I'd rather have the live sessions we got.

 

Want that b-side though

 

pretty good performance at a cool pedal builder. curious what the two guitars are. dustin's seems like a customized parts guitar and i wanna say teppei's is an ovation viper but i'm not certain

 

That was by far the best sounding live performance I've seen/heard of that track.

 

Seeing Dustin always throws me off bc in my head his voice sounds like it's coming from the dad in Grounded For Life.

 

To echo somebody else, that was the best performance of 'Hurricane' to date.
