Saw them last night for the 15th time or so. Amazing as usual. As was said above, they just keep sounding better and better.
God damn these guys are so good live. I can not think of another band that plays so much better that their albums.
Linkin Park, AFI and Rise Against are better live than in studio IMO. They have live versions of songs I like more than the studio ones. I get what you are saying though, Thrice is one of the all time greats.
Welcome to the Dustin show featuring some shots of Ed, Riley and poor Teppei not play guitar. The editor should be fired for wasting such good footage. But sounds great, this sound IMO sounds so much better live than on album.
Singers aren't warmed up early on in the tour and are spotty. Also another rule is toward the end their voice is weaker
The rasp in Dustin's voice in Orlando on June 11th made the acoustic set at Park Ave CDs sound even better. The second that he started singing, I looked at my wife and we both were just in awe.
Dustin has proven over and over again that he gets stronger by the end of each tour. That being said, he was sick to start the first leg of their TBEITBN tour. But, it's not the first time that it took him 10 days to find his footing.
saw them in dallas last sunday. thirteenth show. i already saw them here in houston in june, so there weren't many changes to the setlist. the window live was worth the drive, the wait, all of it.
the long defeat was a highlight live. so was death from above. and obviously the best thrice song ever, black honey.
The one time I ran to the bathroom during their set was when they were playing Death From Above. I heard it still pretty clearly through the bathroom walls. Wish I would have went during Deadbolt. Even though it sounded great it's my least fav song of the set.
Well when my buddy bought me a brewski, and then proceeds to pass me sips of his IPA all during the set I can't CONTROL MYSELF
listened to beggars, major minor, and tbeitbn today While the writing may be stronger on beggars I think I enjoy listening to this the most. The production is what really stands out to me, I love the way the guitars sit in the mix so powerful while Dustin's voice soars over the music
