Ok so I've spun TBEITBN like 40 times I'm gonna rank my faves. Bare in mind I think even my bottom 2 are GREAT SONGS. I'm also ready to say front to back this is better than M/m, better than Beggars.

My ONLY grievances with this album are that I wish Teppei's guitar was brought out more in the mix, especially in Long Defeat, BOTS BlackHoney Chorus. I also think his part in the bridge of Whistleblower is borderline lazy. I wish Seneca were longer and developed more....and that Stay with Me were more a track like Kensrue's "It's Not Enough". or that it had one more ballad to balance out all the hard rock. Stay with me verses, prechorus and outro are fantastic, its the chorus I feel let down by. Sounds so much like Kings of Leons "Someone like Youuuuu" Other than that it is perfect to me, the song writing, the melodies, the instrumentals, the production (my gosh), the guitar tones here make me drool, Dustin sounds incredible throughout.

It's funny the people who have said they love Vheissu all have the window high, the ones that prefer beggars have it lower

 

Guess I'm the outlier.

 

I like Beggars more than Vheissu even though I know Vheissu is the better album.

But really the only ones I like less than the others are Wake Up and BotS.

 

Did not like Wake Up when it first came out, but now it is one of my favorite songs on the album

 

Wake Up is so good. The verses are so groovy.

 

It's damn near impossible to rank songs but The Window is easily my favorite. Every time I listen to this record I end up with a new second favorite track.

 

What do you mean you know Vheissu is the better album?

 

It has better songs, more diversity in song types and better song writing

I know it's all subjective but I want to spark the conversation

 

So finally listening to the Vheissu B sides, and Weight of Glory sounds like a companion track to Stand and Feel Your Worth which I love.

 

Also listening to Dustins solo stuff, and he does such a great job on the Creep cover.

 

Agreed now that I think about it. It might be why they left it off?

 

The album is produced on a grander scale; the songs are more diverse and it's the best Thrice album per the fan/critical consensus. It may not be your favorite or mine but per the popular opinion, it is. Beggars was supposed to be a stripped-down record that had a live feel to it. And it's cool for being just that. But, pound for pound, Vheissu comes out on top per the majority.
