Only a few more days until I get to see Thrice again! That makes me so happy. And maybe I can score Hamilton tickets when they go on sale in 3 minutes as well. That would really take this week to another level. UPDATE: It is not looking too good on those Hamilton tickets, unfortunately.

I hear his voice has been shakey this tour. I'm getting worried...... no....no wait im getting word that it's gotten better. Teebs, back to you!
This was basically me when we were waiting for them at the acoustic show in Orlando. I was telling my wife how people were saying his voice sounded off... Then Dustin starting singing Black Honey and I was like, "Nope, man's voice is that of an angel."
All kidding aside, that'd be a good encore. I always thought Deadbolt would be a good 2nd track to play live. Play something new or whatever they want and then jump right into a fan favorite that will make everyone go nuts and get the show going. Then it's done with and Thrice can have their set, it's a win/win.
It started out shaky, but has only gotten better once his stamina increased. He even acknowledged his shaky voice during the Park Ave. Acoustic Set since it was "early in the tour." So, now that we're at the end of the tour, he sounds phenomenal, something I said would happen from day one. And I wasn't the only person at Shrine, on day one, who said this.
It's really interesting to see that Dustin's voice matures like a fine wine, once it had some time to "open up" on tour. I thought it would be the opposite and get worse and shredded. Then again, I am not a professional singer.
Your voice is a muscle. So it's like playing a sport, first time back you are sore but if you do it every night you build up endurance and get stronger
With 3 months in between their next tour, I wonder if his voice will need the same amount of time to get warm.
Someone should create one of those 10-hour loops and subject all the "Deadbolt"-heads out there to it. 200 times in a row should be enough for them to never need to hear it again.
The problem with deadbolt is that the studio version doesn't stand up to the live version at all. Honestly when I need a fix for that song, I listen to the Wolves at the Gate cover, its so good.
