That riff, or sound at the start - whatever you want to call it - is reminding me of something so bad and it might be La Dispute 'a Departure' or something off of Wildlife. I like this song a lot. Really pleasing to listen to.
2/2 for me. God, I love these guys -- can't wait for this record. Have a feeling I'll like it more than M/M.
The Bruins play Silhouette before power plays and it gets me so pumped every time. EDIT: Isn't Trumbo good friends with Riley?
This pretty neat about the Bruins. Can't believe I didn't know that. And I don't know if Trumbo is good friends with Riley or not. Either way, he's destroying the ball this year (now that he seems to have found a good fit). I'm thinking Thrice has something to do with that ha.
Yes they are, when he was on the angles he used To Awake and Avenge the Dead and Firebreather for his songs
Oh mannnnn but the new Jungle Book movie is soooooo good. That's an interesting point you'd raise, but I could easily counter-argue that he's not referring to people as insects, but instead simply making a causation argument. You can't screw with bees without getting stung. You can't harass, steal from, and engage in war with a country and expect nothing in return.
I like it! I don't have a problem with the lyrics, I've only heard it once, it has great melodies and it's catchy
This song is musically and vocally so dang wonderful, my gosh. I'm going to LOVE this album. Welcome back, Thrice.
Yeah these first two songs have been everything I was hoping for. Cannot wait to have the complete album.
Here's the top comment from the NPR page that hosts the track currently. It made me laugh given the arguments we've had all day about lyrics. In closing, I will never let lyrics ruin my enjoyment of the best Thrice song in years. But if we've heard the two weakest tracks on the record so far, then it's gonna be a juggernaut.
Yeah, but you like Selena Gomez, so what do you know!? In your recent pop listening, have you gone back to the first "Selena Gomez and the Scene" album, Kiss & Tell? I dunno what you do and don't like in pop, but I personally think it's her best and perhaps often overlooked.
I do like When the Sun Goes Down and Revival a lot, but Kiss & Tell is maybe still my fav? She's been clicking with me with every other album, lol. I think "I Don't Miss You At All" is low key wonderful; I love that the guitar and synth drown out the acoustic guitar like she tries to drown out her feelings, or at least that's how I interpret it.
