I'm not sure if they're gonna play the studio version of The Dark or not... the theme of this show is acoustic performances and an interview, so it might be an acoustic performance only. Which I'd be cool with if that's the case, just not what I expected lol
Cool acoustic version of The Grey! Is it live in studio? I just got to my phone. Edit: They are live with Dustin!
This band does acoustic so well. I love that M/M had Yellow Belly, Promises and Anthology acoustic bonus tracks. For TBEITBN they played Hurricane, Black Honey and Death from Above acoustic on a radio station which I was able to rip. They sound really good, but still probably not full quality. I hope we get some properly released acoustic tracks for this new album!
Not an acoustic version, strictly speaking, but I loved this alternate take Dustin and Teppei played last year.
I just saw that I can still access Sirius in my car, even though I'm pretty sure my free months are over and I didn't renew. Bummer, I could have listened :/
Someone on reddit uploaded the set to YouTube. A little underwhelmed by the new song, to be honest, but the performances were all good. It's been said, but that interviewer is off-the-wall, wow.
When are these dudes going to release an acoustic album damn it EDIT: The Dark sounds awesome, wonder what it sounds like non-acoustic though. I may not like it as much.
So, I got to hear the new record in its entirety. I'd normally post my impressions of each track, but I don't feel welcome here of late. Bottom line: I'm happy.
I'm not listening to the acoustic version because i don't want that to be my first impression of the song.
