Every time I’ve seen posters at the theater for movies coming out on the 14th I immediately think of Thrice. We’re so close
I wish there'd be some more interviews or stories or reviews about the new album to tide us over until it's released/leaked. Seems awfully quiet on that front.
Dammit, just when the free 3 months of Sirius I got with my car ended :( I never used it, but would have just for that lol
One of my favorite Thrice lyrics of all time is the second verse of "Death From Above": "One day they sent, one day they sent me to the chaplain when I said I can't go on All he said, all he said was just to shut my mouth and do the will of God" To me, this is Dustin saying that religious institutions can be just as complicit in injustice and evil as any other group, and that religion can be distorted to justify even the most horrific abuses of power (in this case, drone strikes killing innocent civilians). I love this band so much partly for the fact that they touch on themes like this in a way that so few other artists even attempt.
How do these Sirius streams usually work? Will the song be up elsewhere on the internet if we don't have a subscription?
I wonder if they'll release a video with it? I remember they said they might do a video with some of the clips that were sent to them.
I'm guessing it'll show up in streaming services late tonight or tomorrow, but I really have no idea. I know when UnderOath released Rapture on a radio show, it took a day or two to show up in my Google Music I'm sure someone will rip it and put it on YouTube
It is usually a timed exclusive and then should show up for streaming a short time after. I know it's been pretty popular recently with artists releasing music on there first.
