Dustin just threw his pick into the crowd and it beamed me in the fuckin neck haha. Which is really impressive cause I’m standing kinda far back. That’s the power of Mike J
Show was fucking awesome. This is what they played after Beggars Answered Red Telephone The Artist In The Ambulance Black Honey The Long Defeat Beyond The Pines Deeper Wells Deadbolt Helter Skelter
Ok so that show was fucking incredible and easily in the top two Thrice performances I’ve ever seen. It’s been years since I’ve seen them so tight. The ending to Wood and Wire was absolutely ethereal and the whole Beggars set really reminded me of why I love(d) this band and held them in such high regard. This also made me kinda sad cause I was like damn I hope they can capture that magic again. the other set was fine. The Long Defeat is still dope as fuck and I kinda forgot how much I love that song. I still hate Artist In The Ambulance so that was a chore to get through. I get it makes people happy but god damn I cannot stand that song. Deadbolt was Deadbolt. I never fell in love with Beyond the Pines like some of y’all but I felt it translated incredibly well live and definitely made me appreciate more. Helter Skelter was amazing. So I managed to keep the pick safe during the whole show and then I got to my car and put it in my cup holder and someone lost it so that’s a bummer. If Mike saw me, he did not not approach. But I felt Mike J in this Chili’s tonight
It’s around. I don’t remember. Cherry Slim or something like that? And then there was a second band that was better
I didn’t. But that was definitely Mike J’s band with the sparkly jackets in stage. I got the signed poster, but there was no Mike J signature :/
Yeah that set is awesome. I remember when they debuted RT at my date for the Circa tour it was amazing. have they played Answered before??
Tbh, I wish they played Answered instead of Red Telephone on that tour with Circa, but it was still cool to see regardless
