Everyone I figured it out. Only Us The Dark Deeper Wells Hold Up a Light The Grey Everything Belongs Just Breathe Stumbling West My Soul A Better Bridge A Branch in the River Blood on Blood In This Storm Beyond the Pines Also I lived in Florida for four years and that was quite enough.
Why is every cover of Thrice terrible? They almost always have some baby metal band covering them, sans any creativity or experimentation. Obviously, Seether was the exception as butt rockers rarely venture into these woods. Story of the Year's 'Deadbolt' cover was a disgrace as well. Thrice always do interesting things with the songs they cover. Their covers seldom sound like the original. And yet, we never get the same sort of treatment. Although, there's a young pianist on YouTube (named Summer) who covers Thrice songs, classically. She even has string friends who guest from time to time. In fact, a recent 'Pines' cover featured a harpist. Aside from Summer, Thrice deserves better covers.
First: My second favorite band covering my favorite band?! I need to hear that! Second: Don't you dare trash SOTY.
Story of the Year's short cover was part of a medley and sounded great. Esp since they only have one guitarist playing a song that has two. Wolves at the Gate covered Deadbolt and it sounds better than the original. I don't think you have ever played music talking the way you do.
My late to the game take - I dig the RSD release a fair amount. These tracks are definite b-sides, but that's not a bad thing. The title track is a banger.
That's funny, I think it's actually one of my favorite transitions, haha! There's enough fuzz at the end of Branch and enough strumming at the beginning of Blood that I think it works.
I have worse in me, don't worry. That cover is fantastic though, all their covers are including their Thursday and Blindside covers.
