P.O.D.

 

P.O.D. is a great band though. I'd love to hear what band you actually play in if you do, so I can see if you can live up to some riffs from P.O.D.

oh I bet, out of all the times I've seen P.O.D they always end with Alive and the crowd is louder then the band. It must feel epic.

I thought Thrice's cover was just ok, but dang I love that cover art.

 

So on about my 10th listen through today while at work.

I have to say it's grown on me, I like it more now than Stumble. It def has some beggar feels to it and would fit so well on that album.

The part where the music slows down to just a calm guitar, his voice cracks for "We are blind to the storm, we are blaming eachother" right before the band kicks in and jams... that whole part reminds me of the ending on the song Beggars. I can see why you love it so. It does have a lot going for it.

Well, have I heard your music and stayed to listen or did I turn it off immediately? It’s also a big assumption you’re making. I feel you, like all of us, are a huge Thrice fan, but you are hypercritical and insulting with what you don’t like in their music. I usually find artists more sympathetic. That’s why I’m confused.

Is ‘your band’ being kept a secret for some important reason? You are allowed to keep it a secret and maybe you have your reasons. That burn the masters annoyed me a couple pages back. I appreciate your knowledge of the band, news on their happenings, their history, a musicians point of view and technical knowledge. Just curious. You can take pass on this if you want. I just think it’d give me insight on where you’re opinion coming from/formed.

No trying to call you out or anything silly like that. Curious, this being a music site and all.

It's a work in progress. I haven't moved the order of the Palms tracks, but I might have to because there are some things I'm not sure are working. Stumbling West fits well before Only Us, but Only Us is a better opener in my opinion and going from Only Us to Deeper Wells is jarring even though DW fits before The Grey.

 

I really love the lyrics and meaning of A Better Bridge.

 

me too actually. its a tiny bit cheesy... but in a good way. Actually that song could like.. idk... seems pretty relevant to this community right now...

 

That's why I don't think it's cheesy! The Us vs Them mentality is so dumb, no matter what the subject. It seems like in the song he is talking either religion or politics but either way, on point.

 

He keeps his themes going through and across albums.
