Deeper Wells (the song) has consistently reminded me of The Messenger at certain points.

 

Specifically, the "kiss the coals, breathe in smoke" part.

Are the new songs gonna be on spotify or vinyl exclusive?

I know. I tend not to watch trailers to movie I know for sure I’m going to see. I don’t mind listening to single a lot before it comes out. With it being four songs, I’m trying to hold off.

 

Once the vinyl sells out, it'll make its way to digital I'm told. It won't be immediate, though. I'm sure some joker will rip the vinyl online as usually happens.

Yeah I’m the same way with movies. I try to avoid trailers in general as they give away the entire movie sometimes.

I have made the commitment to listen to the next Thrice LP blind tho, haven’t done that forever and I’ve been a fan since IOS.

 

Same. Pressing play on my phone is a chore.

I’ve been a fan since IOS too, and I try my best to keep it to just singles before the album, although I loved following the Alchemy Index blog, and was intrigued by the sample the released prior to Vhessiu (which ended up being the intro to Atlantic).

They better. Some joker is the only reason I have Sea of Change. I'd have paid for it if it were available for me. I'll try again this year but when all else fails, I'll get it some way.

 

I’d buy it digitally too if if were released the same day anyway. I get the “support you local record store”, but that doesn’t mean this and all the other cool and interesting ones will be accessible. Plus the record player thing.

 

If you are worried about getting it, I suggest calling your local record store and seeing if they let you preorder it.. that’s what I did. Already paid for and it will be waiting for me

That clip is the heaviest Thrice has sounded in quite some time. Didn't expect that!

 

I’m more worried about the local part. So many of these businesses have gone away because of internet sales (like most hobby based shops). Or maybe it was Columbia House or Napster.

The few records I have bought are for sentimental reasons and purchased at shows from artists or their merch person, so specialty things like this would otherwise be difficult or expensive (without the band being the ones who profit).

I too and down with joker guy until and digital or I guess Deluxe Palms comes out which sucks. Songs like Sea Change are too good to just miss out on.
