"Beyond the Pines" is still the best song Thrice 2.0 has written.

Here's what I'll say about Deeper Swells for now...

It's crystal clear that they knowingly withheld good/great songs from Palms in order to sell another record 6 months later. There's no other way to justify most of these omissions. Palms could've been GREAT had they not stripped it for parts.

Half of TBEITN and half of Palms.

Just breathe has been my favorite as of late.
Especially on sunny walks with my pups.

Interstellar and Batman Rises are terrible movies. I do hope it was just a fluke since we all know Nolan is great.

Hey we all like bad movies. You don't need to feel bad about it. Also no need to go into detail since both have already been ripped to shreds online over the years. Dunkirk was good though so hopefully he's back on track.

That is very true, I do like most Snyder movies. He is a complete hack though and has nothing good going in his films, so everything any fan of his says has no value.

 

I just like the name Deeper Wells. It sounds like something I'm really gonna be into. It gives me a mysterious/wholesome feeling.

 

Ok I approve. The anticipation was killing me.

 

I was reluctant to post at all because of the general hostility, but for someone to say something like that, it warranted a reaction. I'm not going to give a fucking Thrice resume just to tell someone they can fuck off. My experience with a band doesn't dictate whether or not I can do a job I was assigned.

 

Ohhhh, I meant my anticipation of what your next post would be in general, no matter who it related to. I just wanted a pay off for the joke I set up lol.

I do agree with what you said though. I just want us all to get along.

 

I mean, sort of. It also just adds context to what you think is good film. When you trash a good movie, it means less given the context.

 

Both of those Nolan movies have massive plot holes and that could be considered bad depending on your pov. If people like those movies anyway, they ignore or justify the issues which is fine, like I said we all do it for certain things.

My remark was meant to be lighthearted and just ribbing, like most things I post. The only context is everything is subjective, not "well you like X so that means your opinion of X isn't/is good".

 

Yeah by that logic Jason should apparently like every band discussed on this forum.
