A lot of shops will put up their RSD leftovers online a week or so after. Check Turntable Lab, Shuga Records, Bull Moose, Amoeba etc.
I'm glad they gave us something to politely debate over for the coming years re: B sides vs separate release do y'all call the mwY [untitled] ep b-sides to the [untitled] lp?
nope, to me that's a separate release. It has a clear opener and closer and feels like a complete work.
Since this is an EP and not just a new song, they won't release it on digital either? I'm sure someone will leak it but I'd rather support the band if I can but I'm probably not going to make it out and about trying to find it on RSD.
Hopefully people can keep it polite. When it’s from the same session some will call it b-sides, and because Mike said they were b-sides, Some will call them b-sides. B-side to me doesn’t make it inferior or anything...it just more speaks to when and who recorded them. I’d be cool if it had a complete EP vibe. I’m cool with Teebs calling it an EP too. It’s new Thrice music. That’s whats exciting.
aw that's not good. Of course I was hoping it'd be a good experience since the shows themselves were huge.
Every time I went to Subway it always took an eternity to get my sandwich, so they're right, it's not fast food.
B-sides have a negative connotation. Knowing that their b-sides are often quite good, they're simply packaging them as something... else. But, these songs were written for Palms and are now serving as an extension of Palms. Riley has already confirmed the crux of the matter.
Who cares if it's b-sides or a EP or whatever. I'll tell you what it is. It's new Thrice music, it's all that matters.
