Love the guitars on this song: Super cool. The tension in this thread made me think that Emma Ruth Rundle must be important enough to check out her stuff. I don't know if she would have been on my radar if not for this thread. Thanks everyone! I'm definitely going to be checking out more of her stuff over the next couple hours at school.
I’m still bummed I missed the Thrice, La Dispute, Moving Mountains, and O’brother tour. All those bands are great.
I loved that album! Top of 2018 baby! Tour would be super sick though, I agree. Didn't they tour together back when both were newer?
I only listened to it once and it just didn’t click or feel right to me, but seeing your enthusiasm maybe I’ll give it another shot, I love all their other albums. I’m pretty sure they’ve toured together but can’t be sure.
Would love to see Radiohead take Thrice out on a massive tour. Thrice could play a more mellow set lean heavy on Beggars, Non-Fire Alchemy songs, and songs like Red Sky, Beyond the Pines, Disarmed, Salt and Shadow. Dream tour.
I asked people to try and positive in this thread just over a week ago. It worked for a few posts with people commenting on what they love about the band. It was nice, but brief. People come in here sometimes to stir stuff up. It’s frustrating when it becomes a personal attack. It’d be like if someone said “stop being so condescending” to this post you made, even though I’m sure you’re being sincere that you love a friendly fun board. It’s sad, but people do it. Often.
man this thread got me go back and check out Vedera again. They were so good. What's crazy is that Kristen later went on to become the vocalist of Flyleaf for a few years.
Shoegazey textures and post-rock vibes with Rundle's vocals floating over the top of the whole thing - very good stuff. She was in Red Sparowes before they went on hiatus and the Marriages stuff skews closer to their stuff than what she's doing now.
Most of the music I listen to tend to has male vocals, I guess it’s just a personal preference, but scrolling through my iTunes id say it’s atleast 95% male vocals. I do have PVRIS, Flyleaf, Paramore, Emma, Wye Oak, and Lindi Oretgra. I’d be open to recommendations to help the ratio.
