Why did they get a longer set last night?

 

I need to do top 20s for my favorit artists, especially those with lengthy discographies. Half of Beggars would be in my top 20 at this point in my life

 

Thrice set lists are always interesting to me. They have so many different types of songs to pick from I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see how they construct their sets.

 

I remember reading/watching an interview where they said gear and tuning play a big part in it

 

I'm not sure the process but unlike so many of my other favorite bands, they have always added in a surprise gem or 2 as well as mixing up songs from most albums every tour since I started seeing them regularly during Vheissu.

Actually, I think Vheissu is the only album of theirs to have the same songs played from it live. I feel every other album normally gets a change up every tour.

No, haha, I have been meaning to change it for a long time and that reminded me.

 

Image of the Invisible, Earth Will Shake, Hold Fast Hope, Of Dust and Nations, Red Sky and once in a while For Miles seem to get rotated every tour or so. Would love if they played Music Box or Stand and Feel Your Worth. Vheissu is such a great album and translates so well live.

 

I believe Between the Earth is the only track off that album never to be played, but yeah I'd love to see Stand, Musicbox and Moths to see some love more often.

Not that I don't want Nations and Earth Will Shake not to be played anymore, I'm glad that if the band has a few staples, those are it.

Who doesn’t like Broken Lungs?! It’s great! Classic Thrice song.

 

Wow, that just went up after I did my daily sweep.

 

Not a fan.

 

Nice to see some love for night diving, that song is great. The layers in that track are something else. So many subtle sounds and atmosphere throughout. Wish they would approach other songs like night diving.
