Considering how incredible their albums are, I still think seeing Thrice live is the best part about them. I had passively listened to Thrice until I saw them play Of Dust and Nations (never heard the song before) and I was hooked at that moment. Same thing happened to my friend when he saw The Earth Will Shake for the first time. I could definitely (hopefully) see them gaining some new fans from this tour.
This was me! Silhouette helped though too lol From that video I didn't realize how big of a crowd they were playing to. Why would fans not want this for them?
Thrice on Spotify shuffle just brought up Digital Sea followed by Where Idols Once Stood. So different and both so good lol, what a band.
It deserves a high ranking just for the bridge and last chorus of Cataracts. His voice has so much passion in that last chorus. Beautiful.
Headlining Thrice tours in which they get 20+ songs really helps encompass their sound so well. They have so many hits, fan favorites, deep cuts, rarities, and surprises to pull from. It really makes for an incredible experience.
I think the 04 civic tour with get up kids, head automatica, and dashboard was the most unresponsive crowd I've ever seen Thrice have. At the cavernous tsongas arena no less. That place sucks.
I sadly wasn't into Thrice during the Artist era (and probably missed some of their best shows) but I remember my brother telling me after he went how weird it was to go wild and all out for heavy Thrice, and then sit and relax for Dashboard right after lol I could def see Dashboard fans who didn't know Thrice not know how to react during Under a Killing Moon and Paper Tigers lol
I loved that show. Head Automatica was super new to me. Pretty sure the album wasn’t out yet then. I loved the other 3 bands. What a sick show.
The amount of screaming teenage girls there for dashboard, mainly Chris, was outrageous. I got so many strange looks while singing along lol good times.
Damn. Super sad I missed those early shows. Glad I got to see it live on their farewell tour but it probably didn't have the same energy at all.
Checking Twitter reactions after their set tonight and it seems they made a few fans! Someone called them a heavier U2 lol.
Signs of life from the crowd during Earth will Shake. I think they have a pretty big following in ATL tho.
This. I remember this chick getting mad at the dudes next to us because they were singing along to Thrice. Like you're at a Dashboard show, and you have a problem with people singing along??
Haven't popped into this thread in months, but I can't pass up a good ol' chorus ranking Beggars TBEITBN Alchemy Vheissu Artist M/M Palms Illusion
Vheissu Artist Alchemy M/M TBEITBN Palms Illusion Beggars Identity Crisis TBE and Palms have really grown on me since we last did this
Just because it's low on someone's list doesn't mean they don't like it! Beggars is a 10/10 for me but it's 2nd to last in my ranking.
