I still really enjoy this album.

 

So good.

 

It’s a solid record, and I’m happy the band is continuing to make music. Eff the haters

But I hate this ranking.
Blood on blood being last is just poor taste. It’s one of their most interesting songs by such a wide objective margin.

hold up a light is fuckin garbage

 

I guess I just have poor taste I think all the other songs have way more interesting parts in them. Blood on Blood is just a basic stripped down song that's paint by numbers until a random harp appears.

I feel like most the other songs all have something crazy good going on that puts it above Blood, like the outro to Branch, the cool synth of Only Us, the swelling build up of the piano ballad in Everything Belongs...

Man this album rules.

Not only is Hold Up a Light pretty rockin, but it sounded sooo good live. Glad it was one of the tracks that they busted out live from the album.

 

Yea, it was a highlight from my show as well. Song is repetitive as hell but brings good energy. It’s one of my lower tier songs on the album but I still enjoy it.

 

It kicking in right after Beggars sounded so cool.

The song itself really does remind me of the Foo Fighters and the Foo Fighters rule. It also helps balances out the album too.

haha of course I am, even though Someday and Animals are good songs.

 

Or you know, differences in opinion might exist too. Not everyone has to share your love for blood on blood.

 

Blood on blood is a top tier song for sure :). Love the last verse with the acoustics, reminds me of Radiohead

 

My super hot take is that all 10 songs are top tier and this is album of the year.

 

I dropped it to my 9 spot

 

It was 4....on my biggest disappointments list
