well i didn't want to overwhelm her with all the heavy stuff, so a bit of everything. and i was debating if the closer would be defeat, pines, or salt/shadow.
I'd probably try and show off some of their different styles, which could scare some off, but probably: -Yellow belly -The Messenger -Black Honey -Burn the Fleet -For Miles -Red Sky 6 songs is super hard though.
i guess i should switch the long defeat as a closer and replace it with 'in exile'... so: only us the window stare into the sun for miles digital sea in exile
I'd probably do one from every of their most recent releases. For Miles Digital Sea At The Last Yellowbelly The Window Everything Belongs That was tougher than I thought.
The best Underoath album (Lost In the Sound) is amazing, but I do agree. That's not a slight on Underoath at all though, if that is what you were tying to do. Thrice is just that good. Edit: To be fair, I always forget to count First Impressions and Identity Crisis. I actually think a lot of Underoath's discography is better than those. From Illusion and on though, I agree.
Nope. Lost in the Sound of Separation is better than (At least) First Impressions and Identity Crisis. No contest.
Dannnggg, I thought when I saw you quoted me that you'd go for the obvious "must be a lonely universe" but you burned me harder than I thought. My response to that though is "anything is possible when you believe hard enough "
I know M/M gets brought up all the time on this thread and the same back and forth happens typically, but I just don't get how an album with so many strong songs isn't considered a great Thrice album, let alone just a great album. Listen Through Me and Call it in the Air get brought up a lot, but lets say they are indeed trash songs (they aren't), does a few bad songs make the whole album bad?
Kintsugi is very good and so is Thank You For Today. Palms is great. Major/minor is half great/half godawful. New Underoath album might be fine in a vacuum, but it's not a good Underoath album. New Mae is awesome.
