I still have my original press vinyl of Beggars - what I love about it is the #/2000 is my home town area code - it was meant to be
I have a feeling they will just do an open order/quantity for Beggars, kinda like TAI repress, let everyone order as much as they want during a certain time frame - really should be the only way to do it.
This is the last time I mention this........but I just got this from KRM a few minutes ago. Still unhappy but it seems like the epitaph tweet was just lip service: "Hello Mike, Looking at your order, you ordered Bundle #1 which was the Wax Mage Clear +3 splatter. It looks like the graphic you attached from the Thrice website had the bundles listed in reverse order. On the Epitaph KRM store it had all the correct info for the record you actually purchased which was the Wax Mage Clear +3 Splatter. This is the full description for Bundle 1 from the store: This bundle includes: - Thrice - Palms Deluxe LP (Wax Mage) Hand made Wax Mage clear vinyl with red, white and black color stripe Epitaph Store exclusive - limited to only 100 copies! - Thrice - Palms LP (Opaque Grey w/Black Swirl) Epitaph Store Exclusive - Limited to 2000 copies - Thrice - Palms LP (Black 180 gram) - Thrice Palms Logo Enamel Pin The Thrice Palm logo as a high quality enamel pin. - Thrice Palms Slipmat The Thrice Palms design on a felt turntable slipmat. *Wax Mage vinyl image is not indicative of what you will actually receive. The description of the bundle you bought showed it was for the Wax Mage Clear/Red/White/Black variant. If you are unhappy with this record we're happy to send you a return label and issue you a full refund for the record. Unfortunately with this being such a limited pressing there are no copies available for an exchange. Thank you."
Jokers. See what Epitaph come back with next week. KRM are really trying to cover their asses at the moment, they've even gone as far to update the incorrect imagery on our order pages. Also, why would they redirect the old bundle pages to the epitaph store rather than just mark them as sold out. It's not possible that this many people can be so sure of something they ordered to kick off about it this much & be wrong.
I like A Branch in the River slightly more than I did previously. However, think the ending desperately needs a Vheissu-esque cathartic Dustin freakout a la For Miles/The Earth Will Shake/Stand and Feel Your Worth.
I just got an email from Epitaph with the exact same wording as the tweets yesterday. Something is brewing.
I don't think the album has been out long enough for me to know where it lands in terms of their discography, or even long enough to know my true feelings on it. I listened to it a bunch the weekend it came out and haven't returned to it since but I don't think that necessarily speaks to how I feel about it. there is so much music out. i'll probably give it at least 2-3 listens before the show friday though.
At this point, just wait it out for those 7 (now 6) days to see what they actually do. There's absolutely nothing else we can do.
I like TBEITBN slightly more than Palms and think it's a more consistent record beginning to end, but Palms certainly has high highs (and consequently, lower lows).
the setlist looks pretty heavy on the two most recent albums which should be interesting to say the least.
Hmm, I've been the opposite, I spun mewithoutYou's new album a few times then went back to Palms, it's made other albums harder to listen to for me.
They focus on one and the rest have 1-2 that represent it. It’s kind of the best way to go to please fans of all eras, or someone who loves them all.
I was watching season 1 of The Path last night. During the episode at one point there's an exchange and one of the characters says the dark, there is no dark there is only us. Probably just a coincidence but I thought that was interesting. I wonder if Dustin has watched that show. Brief synopsis is: A man who converts to a controversial following suffers from a crisis of faith.
Only track I'm still not completely sold on this is Hold Up A light. I find it a bit too repetitive but everything else is good to great to me.
I havn't played it in like a week either.. I'm seeing them on Saturday to. I think for me its been more bc of other new records tho.
Or ask in the AMA happening right now We are Thrice and we just released our new album called Palms - AMA! • r/PostHardcore But I suppose that involves having to give reddit traffic.
