Welp, my records are in my city, but still not scheduled to be delivered until tomorrow.

This looks more akin to a waxmage release than Bundle 1...

 

Looks neat. A bit disappointed that it's on clear.

They messed up.

 

I dig it.....i think it embodies the colors of the album art a little better than a random splatter variant. Also, keep in mind they're done by hand and no two are going to be alike.

 

According to the original listing someone archived on Reddit:

Package 1: 180g, Gray/Black, and a record that the color is completely 1 of a kind from the other 99 records and any other press. Each of the 100 of package 1 will be completely and individually unique even of the set of 100 that it belongs to.

Package 2: 180g, Gray/Black, and a red/black/beige/gray splatter record that matches the artwork. While each of the 100 will have a unique splatter pattern like all splatter variants, all 100 will be the same scheme and they will only be unique to other pressings and not individually of each other as well.

It's looking more and more like they switched the bundles. Pretty bummed if thats the case

I guess we'll have to see what happens whenever more pics of the bundles start rolling in. If that's the case, I'll be pissed off for sure. If they switched the bundles and didn't even give us a heads up, that would be super messed up.

 

Both splatter patterns look bad ass. In retrospect, I’d probably opt for those.

The tour variant doesn’t do much for me. So I guess I’m safe on that front.

 

Same here. Bundle 1 looks nothing like a Wax Mage release.

I knew when I got that first email that indicated "Clear with 3 colors" instead of "Wax Mage" that KRM had messed it up.

Don't get me wrong, both variants are nice, but I paid for the Wax Mage, and the "Clear with 3 colors" is not the Wax Mage.

 

I received 2 emails containing the Wax Mage naming... one on the 10th July + 14th August.

This is pretty messed up if that's the case. I'm sure I saw someone email KRM to confirm it was still a WM release and they said it was. I've emailed KRM now, I'll let you know when they get back to me.

My USPS Informed Delivery says I'll be getting my records today. I'm glad I prepared for disappointment, but still disappointed that I was right to prepare myself.

 

I'm the one who emailed KRM and they assured me that bundle 1 was the wax mage bundle. I messaged Wax Mage as well to see if they did 1 or two variants for Palms and haven't heard back yet.

 

also, @thebrainroom my emails from KRM look identical to yours (said wax mage originally then flipped to clear +3 color)

 

It's annoying when you're dropping $100+ on something and it's not what you expect or even ordered. Enjoy the records either way!
