We did dictate what's in this set. But, hey, if you enjoy the song that once served as Thrice's swan song, then more power to you.
And apparently a lot of other people did too, if we really did dictate it lol. I do enjoy it. It’s a great song.
I enjoyed it 5 years ago as a set closer when tearfully saying goodbye to the best band in the world for who knows how long. To leave "Window" and "Defeat" on the bench is just beyond me. Those songs should never be benched. But, hey, at least we got to hear "Stare at the Sun" again. Ed's bass sounded so beefcake-y tonight.
I vaguely remember seeing a post about it on Instagram but didn’t pay much attention cause I wouldn’t be there
For someone who is such a big fan of the band you certainly are holding on to this not good look of telling them what they should and shouldn't be playing. It's their band dude not yours.
I had school until 3. Then had to close at work. And even if I took work off the traffic to San Diego around 3 is a nightmare. I’ll see em when I can
I never told anyone what to play except for when I voted for what songs they should play. I'm allowed to have an opinion on certain songs being omitted without it being construed as me telling someone what to play. I really don't care what they play since they have more good songs than any other active band. I only have a real issue with "Anthology" for the reasons I've already mentioned. I don't like being transported back to the saddest time in Thrice's history. I'll never be able to undo the context in which they played it 5 years ago.
Did I miss the C.fm Palms album review? Also, any updates on how many copies this sold/chart stuff? Curious to see how well it does.
@Mike J how did everyone’s least favorite Palms track fare live? I’m stoked to see it on the set list.
That set is pretty fantastic. There is only one song I would take out and replace with any other new song. But since it’s new it will be fun to see it live anyway. They seem to sometimes switch out a song or two , I wonder which few may that be. If they play the exact same set next Friday I’ll be a pretty happy boy.
Mike doesn’t understand set spoilers. Or that the song he doesn’t think belongs in the set is one of the absolute best Thrice songs.
Yeah really bummed I’m missing them this tour. Would’ve been my fifth time seeing them. Since my wife is due next month I told her the Circa/Foxing show last April would be my last concert for a while. Priorities, and all that jazz.
The entitlement of Mike J is the most ridiculous thing Set looks good besides a bad selection from the new album
