I would LOVE if they play Branch. But I can see it being like Talking Through Glass and it not being played for whatever reason.
Shoulda voted for them to play it before you even knew what it sounded like then! (i forget if Palms songs were even on the ballet, probably not hahaha)
Like, legit, I can’t wait to wake up to see what they played. I’m so amped to see them next Friday. I haven’t seen them since the Major/minor tour. So any songs from the two newer albums will be great and it’s been long enough that any older songs will be great.
This will be my sixth time seeing them. I’ve seen them more than any other band. Twice in Richmond, VA Coheadline with Brand New in ‘09 Major/Minor Tour in ‘11 Once in Charlotte, NC Farewell Tour in ‘12 Twice in Orlando, FL TBEITBN Tour in ‘16 Coheadliner with Circa ‘17 Woof. I love these guys.
Seeing them 10/6 for the first time in like 6 years. Also super excited to see Teenage Wrist. That band rules
My first thrice show was 2002 with Face to Face. I’ve probably seen them upwards of 20 times live. The tour with Coheed and Hot Water Music was amazing. Caught that in New Orleans.
My very first Thrice show was in 2003 when they toured with Co&Ca and Thursday. Saw them in LA at the Palladium. I've seen them probably at least 15 times since then. Time fliessssss.
stop this nonsense!! It’s “would HAVE”!!! How many times must we go over this! Also, the mwY/Thrice/Brand New show was my first concert ever. Have only seen Thrice a handful of times since then but I’ve seen mwY about 13-15 times. I’ve lost track
Posted in the tour thread about a new song played tonight that’s on their IG story. Don’t want to spoil it here for anyone that wants to go in blind.
"Anthology" has no business being in the set. That song brings to mind a really sad time in the band's history, and I don't want to relive it during a joyous time. It certainly shouldn't come at the expense of "The Window" or "The Long Defeat." Still, tonight was amazing. "Branch..." was absolutely brutal. "The Dark" was surprisingly cool in the live environment. The piano line is even creepier in person. I had three too many tonics. The South American tour has Dustin sounding in prime form already. Usually, he's slow out of the gate, but he's not gonna take it anymore.
??? That’s an awesome song and if they wanna play it they can play it. Who are we to dictate what belongs in their set?
