I sadly won’t get to catch them in Nashville. They’re playing here the same day that my fiancees family is doing a cookout for our wedding for anyone in her family who can’t make it to Cleveland for the wedding. I would skip but that might be weird to not have the groom there
Some terrible Rise Against takes in this thread. Speaking of Thrice though, album is still holding up very well and I haven't listened to much else for the past few weeks.
Right? I think the last rise against album i actually enjoyed and would spin again is The Unraveling.....that's probably because I'm old as balls.
wait, what? lol. Terrible takes because everyone is saying stuff like that. Wolves was a really good album. I feel like their only real bad album was End Game. RPM through Appeal to Reason are all fantastic, and then Black Market and Wolves are just good.
hey, that's ok too! we all like what we like right? they've evolved quite a bit as a band and some people don't really vibe with the newer sounds....myself included. not hating on you for what you like though!
haha its all good! I think those first albums hit me so hard that I'll always give them a chance, even though End Game burned me.
I missed the song ranking. Here’s where I’m at: Just Breathe Beyond the Pines My Soul A Branch in the River Only Us Everything Belongs Blood on Blood Hold Up a Light The Dark The Grey (only this low because I burned it out) Overall it hasn’t hit me quite the same way TBE did, but it’s still incredible. Not disappointed in the least.
I like every song on this album, which I can't say about TBE, but I feel like the highs on TBE are higher (Hurricane, Black Honey, Long Defeat) so I think I like TBE more.
Excited to see what the setlists look like. I wonder if we will be told the results of that poll for each stop.
Not that TBE is not re listenable, but I find myself hitting play again right after Palms ends for the last few weeks. My mind may change over time. I think this album flows better for sure.
Same! I would love Just Breathe and I posted this earlier, but man how cool would Everything Belongs going into For Miles be? I am going to go in blind though since this is a band I actually know every song. We aren't going to post setlist spoilers in this thread right? I unsubb-ed the Tour thread for now to avoid spoilers.
I missed the rankings too, but here are mine right now: Blood on Blood Beyond the Pines Just Breathe My Soul Only Us Branch in the River The Grey The Dark Hold up a Light Everything Belongs I want to like Everything Belongs, but it just does nooooothing for me.
I listened to this again last night and it actually seems like a short record. As in, I wanted more. Great closet again though.
